The S.E.A.L. Foundation Parent Network

The S.E.A.L. Foundation has initiated a parent network and invites parents of students who learn differently to join us at November and December parent meetings (November 27 and December 18) at the Boston Tavern in Middleborough at 5:30 p.m.

Both of these meetings will be facilitated by special education advocate Chris Atwood. Chris brings over 40 years of experience to each encounter she has with parents, school personnel, and community members. She personalizes her presentations so participants get the most from their time together.

The November meeting will focus on “Strategies and Resources for Neurodiversity.” Chris will take the lead from the audience on how best to address their concerns and questions and provide information and tips.

Interested parents should contact Lynne Sarantopoulos.

Important Date Change: December 15

We are in the process of rolling out a new anti-bullying curriculum from MARC (Massachusetts Aggression Reduction Center) at Bridgewater State University. In order to support these efforts, the Catholic School Office has arranged for professional development for our teachers.

Please note that we have moved our SAL Day from December 1 to December 15. This means that there will be school on December 1. There will be no school on December 15. This will be SAL Day. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and we are appreciative of your flexibility.

Picture Retake Day

Picture retakes will take place on Tuesday, November 14. Dress your best, and he ready to smile!

Thanksgiving Break

There is no school on Thursday, November 23 and on Friday, November 24 for our Thanksgiving break. School resumes on Monday, November 27. Have a wonderful holiday!

Field Trip to Visit Temple Beth-El

Our 8th grade class took a field trip to visit Temple Beth-El and meet Rabbi Mark Elber and Cantor Shoshana Brown on Friday, November 3. The students learned about the synagogue, Jewish holidays and practices, and things that Catholics and Jews hold in common. The students enjoyed the visit and asked great questions. Providing students with experiences to learn about others and our shared humanity is such an important lesson, especially in light of the turmoil in our world today.

Christmas Card Picture Competition

The Catholic Schools Office would like to invite all students from the Diocese of Fall River Catholic schools to enter the Christmas Card Contest! We are looking for a religious Christmas drawing that will be featured on our Christmas card. Guidelines for the drawing:

  1. The drawing must depict a religious Christmas theme.
  2. Ideally the drawing should be in pencil or colored pencil.

  4. The winner will be announced on Tuesday, November 21, on Facebook and Instagram.

We hope students and families enjoy this contest and look forward to receiving your creative ideas!
