Holy Name Oktoberfest

We are looking forward to all things fall—the changing leaves, the cool, crisp air, and the smell of pumpkin spice—but most importantly, Oktoberfest! Join us for a day filled with festivities on Saturday, October 22 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. It will include all of the fun from our former harvest festival and more!

Why not extend the fun? Our Oktoberfest dinner on Saturday, October 29 will include music, authentic and delicious German food, live music, a raffle, and more! The proceeds from these festivities will help support our school. Want to know how you can help? Fill out the PALS donation form by October 21, sign up to volunteer for any of our Oktoberfest committees, or make a donation for our silent auction and penny sale. We greatly appreciate your help and support!

Octoberfest Meeting

Tonight Thursday, September 22, at 6:00 p.m., there will be an Octoberfest (previously known as The Harvest Festival) meeting at Holy Name School in the Parish Center, and we'd love to have you there. Please feel free to invite any family and/or friends that may want to be involved in this event. If you cannot make it but would like to volunteer, please fill out and email back the Octoberfest Volunteer form to Jayme Chippendale.

Club Hope

Club Hope will be holding its first meeting on Friday, September 23 in the grade 5 classroom. The second meeting will be on Friday, October 28. If you have a student in grades 5–8, this is a great opportunity for them. The members play games, do service projects, have prayer time, and enjoy snacks! If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Morrison via email.

Picture Day

Our annual picture day is on Wednesday, October 5. Order forms will go out as we get closer to the date. All students will take pictures for the yearbook. Students may dress in regular clothes of their choice.

Catholic Youth Futsal League

The Catholic Youth Futsal League and Academy (CYFLA) was created in 2003 to provide children who attend the Diocese of Fall River Schools with a means to get together on Saturdays and play futsal/indoor soccer in a safe and recreational environment. Thousands of children have participated at the Catholic Youth Futsal League and Academy during the past 18 years and have made new friends whilst developing their skills and having fun.

The CYFLA is comprised of 11 meetings on Saturdays at Durfee High School from 3:30 to 8:30 p.m. Registration and payment is due by Thursday, October 20. Please see below for more information.

Back-to-School Night

Please join us for our back-to-school night on Thursday, September 15 at 6:00 p.m. We will be giving out a lot of information that evening, so please make every effort to attend.

Children’s Liturgy Volunteers

We are seeking volunteers to become facilitators to help bring Jesus to the children of our parish in a positive and joyful way. You do not need to commit to every week, and we will provide all materials. Please contact Catherine Fraga via email or phone at (508) 264-8466, and see our children’s liturgy volunteer flyer for more information.
