Welcome from Our Pastor & Our Principal

Our Pastor

Dear Friends of Holy Name School,

It is a joy and pleasure to welcome you to our Holy Name School website. I am grateful to all who have worked so hard to develop and maintain this wonderful means of communication between the school and its students, parents, faculty, staff, alumni, supporters, and the wider community.

Since 1960, Holy Name Parish has been proud to have a parish school. We are so grateful to the previous pastors of Holy Name who have offered great support to the school, to the religious sisters who staffed the school for so long, and to the many women and men who have served the school over the years as administrators, faculty, and staff members. I am very proud to lead a similarly dedicated group of people who currently do the same for Holy Name School.

Our Mission Statement indicates in part that “Holy Name School strives to produce confident, competent, and caring individuals who can work cooperatively, who show respect for one another, and who demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of Catholic values.” I pray that all who read these pages will join our effort to ensure that the young students in our school now and in the future will be well on their way to achieving these goals by the time they graduate from Holy Name School. I encourage you to remain in contact with our school, and if we can assist you in any way or try to answer any questions you may have, please know we will do our best to help. Above all, I ask you to continue to pray to our Lord and Blessed Mother that His will be done and the mission of our school be accomplished for many years to come.

Sincerely in Christ,

Fr. Jay Maddock

Dear Parents,

Welcome to the Holy Name School website. Please take a few minutes to review the site and discover the difference academic excellence rooted in Catholic values can make in the life of your child. Discover the difference that dedication generates—the dedication of the school’s director, the school’s staff and faculty, and the school’s parents. The growth and development of our students, from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade, results from Catholic and family values that are woven into the fabric that is Holy Name School.

On our Faculty & Staff page, you can read short biographies written by faculty and staff members and come to know those who provide a warm and nurturing atmosphere in which our students learn and grow. In our Photo Gallery, you will see examples of class projects, field trips, and many school events that illustrate the positive learning experiences that happen daily at Holy Name School. We also invite you to visit the diocesan website, which lists all the learning outcomes and standards; these outcomes and standards mirror those on the state website.

As you view our website, you will see the many opportunities we offer for parents to take an active role in the education of their children. At Holy Name School, we offer many community-building experiences for faculty, staff, students, and parents. Two examples that occur near the beginning of every school year are our Welcome Breakfast and the Harvest Festival.
