Catholic Youth Futsal League

The Catholic Youth Futsal League and Academy (CYFLA) was created in 2003 to provide children who attend the Diocese of Fall River Schools with a means to get together on Saturdays and play futsal/indoor soccer in a safe and recreational environment. Thousands of children have participated at the Catholic Youth Futsal League and Academy during the past 18 years and have made new friends whilst developing their skills and having fun.

The CYFLA is comprised of 11 meetings on Saturdays at Durfee High School from 3:30 to 8:30 p.m. Registration and payment is due by Thursday, October 20. Please see below for more information.

Back-to-School Night

Please join us for our back-to-school night on Thursday, September 15 at 6:00 p.m. We will be giving out a lot of information that evening, so please make every effort to attend.

Children’s Liturgy Volunteers

We are seeking volunteers to become facilitators to help bring Jesus to the children of our parish in a positive and joyful way. You do not need to commit to every week, and we will provide all materials. Please contact Catherine Fraga via email or phone at (508) 264-8466, and see our children’s liturgy volunteer flyer for more information.

Pick-Up and Dismissal Locations

Your students' grade level determines where you should drop off and pick them up. Pre-K will be using the 850 Pearce Street entrance for pick-up and dismissal. K through 4 will use the main entrance. Grade 5 will use the door nearer the playground from the parking lot, and grades 6 to 8 will use the middle school side of the 850 Pearce Street entrance. Thank you in advance for your help and cooperation!

Drop-Off and Dismissal Times

School begins at 8:00 a.m. with a drop-off window of 7:45 to 8:00 a.m. If a student arrives after 8:05 a.m., they will be considered tardy. Dismissal is at 2:20 p.m. with a pick-up window of 2:20 to 2:30 p.m. If the student is not picked up by 2:30 p.m. they will be brought to extended daycare. If your child is in middle school and will be walking home, we will need you to write a letter stating so to keep in their file. Extended daycare bills will be sent to you the following week on Tuesday.

Montessori School Closed

We have received word that the Montessori School has closed. This is such devastating news, especially three weeks before school starts. We would love to try to keep the students together as much as possible. The last few years have been socially-emotionally devastating, especially for children. Here at Holy Name School, we are willing to do whatever it takes to help these families. If you or someone you know has an interest in hearing about Holy Name, please contact us via email.

Book Challenge

Mr. Flanagan has challenged all students to read five books over the summer. If they bring him a log of the five books on the first day back to school, he will give them a dress-down pass for the day of their choice.
