School Life Committee Meeting

We invite all parents to join us for the next School Life Committee meeting on Tuesday, September 26 at 6:00 p.m. in the parish center. We will be planning for Oktoberfest. Please consider joining us for the meeting or volunteering a couple of hours for games and activities. This event is only possible through the support of families.

Grade 8 Parent Meeting

There will be a meeting on Wednesday, September 27 at 6:00 p.m. for all grade 8 parents to discuss the upcoming events for the year. All parents are welcome, and we encourage you to attend.

Picture Day

Picture day is coming to Holy Name School on Tuesday, October 3. Pre-order photos today on mylifetouch.com with your student id. For more information, please see the flyer below.

Holy Name Church Welcome Breakfast

All families are invited to the annual Holy Name Welcome Breakfast on Sunday, September 24. Breakfast will be served in the Holy Name School Auditorium after both the 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Masses. No tickets or reservations are needed; breakfast is free and open to all. Breakfast includes eggs, bacon, home fries, pancakes, and breakfast pastries. Come enjoy food and fellowship as we celebrate the start of another school year! 

Holy Name's Got Talent!

On October 21, our students will have the chance to present a talent show at Oktoberfest. Signups will take place on Monday and Tuesday of this coming week. Auditions will be taking place after school on September 26 with Mrs. Tavares in the gym. All students from grades 2 through 8 are welcome to prepare and perform their special gift or talent alone or with friends. Up to four people will be allowed per act, and song lyrics must be approved beforehand by Mrs. Tavares. Music must be presented before or at the time of the audition. Auditions will take place between 2:30 and 4:30 p.m. in the gym and sign-up times are first come first serve. For any questions, please contact Mrs. Tavares. 

Oktoberfest-Volunteers Needed

We need your help! Parents are needed to help volunteer at our Oktoberfest on Saturday, October 21. Sign-ups take place at Back to School Night or can be done by emailing us. Our next planning meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, September 26 at 6:00 p.m. in the parish center.

CYO Basketball

CYO basketball registration will take place on Wednesday, September 13 from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the parish center. The tryout schedule is as follows:

  • Tuesday, September 19: 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade boys CYO basketball tryouts from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday, September 19: 6th, 7th, and 8th grade boys CYO basketball tryouts from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, September 21: 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade girls CYO basketball tryouts from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, September 21: 6th, 7th, and 8th grade girls CYO basketball tryouts from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Opening Mass

We will be walking to Holy Name Church on Thursday, September 14 at 9:00 a.m. for our opening mass of the school year. All families are welcome to join us. We hope to see you there!

Rescheduled Meetings

Back to School Night has been rescheduled from September 7 to September 14 at 6:00 p.m. due to the number of people who will be attending and the heat advisory. Our previously scheduled meeting for the School Life Committee on September 14 will also be rescheduled. Details to follow. 

No School

There is no school on Monday, September 4 in observance of Labor Day. Enjoy your long weekend!
