Our Christmas pageant will take place on Monday, December 11 at 6:00 p.m. at Bishop Connolly High School. Please watch for more details coming soon.
Parent-teacher conferences will take place in person on Thursday, October 26. Middle school will run from 9:10 a.m. to noon, 12:30 to 5:00 p.m., and 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. PK through 5th grade will run from 12:30 to 5:00 p.m and 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

On Friday, October 13, Holy Name School will have a dress down day to help support the efforts of Oktoberfest. Students who would like to dress down on Friday should bring in a donation of beverages or $5. We are asking Pre-K through 4th grade to bring in water bottles and grades 5 through 8 to bring in a case of soda. Students who are unable to bring in beverages can bring in $5 instead. Dress down day rules apply.
To celebrate All Saints' Day (November 1), we are planning a trunk-or-treat after Mass. Any parents or grandparents who would like to participate are invited to contact the main office or email Mrs. Chippendale. Participants will be asked to have at least 155 pieces of candy (no nuts or peanuts) available, and are encouraged to decorate their trunk, preferably with a religious theme in light of the feast day.
Progress reports will be available for viewing on Friday, October 13. An email will be sent home with instructions. Progress reports are a snapshot of a student's grades at the midpoint of the trimester. This is a good time to check a student's progress and make plans for the remainder of the trimester. If there are academic concerns, parents should reach out to teachers. Parent/teacher conferences will take place on October 26.
We are excited to announce that we will be starting a new club. The Latin Club will meet every Monday from 2:45 to 3:45 p.m. Under the direction of Deacon Maurice Ouellette, students will have a chance to learn from the language, read translations, and study culture. This club is open to students in grades 6 through 8. The first meeting will take place on October 2, 2023.
We are excited to announce that all students at Holy Name School are now eligible to receive free lunches through Fall River Public Schools. Starting on Tuesday, October 3, students will have the option of a free hot lunch, cold lunch (sandwich), or salad and milk for lunch each day. We will also have an option of free breakfast for any students who attend before-school care in the morning.
This means we will no longer use our current vendors for lunches. Mrs. Krauzyk will continue to send out the menu, and you can submit the order through a form each week. These details will also be explained in an additional email, and a separate order form will go out later this week for the new free lunch program.
Please note that this program does not start until October 3. We will have pizza as an option for lunch on Monday, October 2.
Help our community and our alumni by dropping off non-perishable food donations by Thursday, September 28. Bishop Stand will be donating food to multiple shelters and charities in the area. Please see our food drive flyer for more information. A small donation can make a big difference in our community!
We invite all parents to join us for the next School Life Committee meeting on Tuesday, September 26 at 6:00 p.m. in the parish center. We will be planning for Oktoberfest. Please consider joining us for the meeting or volunteering a couple of hours for games and activities. This event is only possible through the support of families.
